There is some confusion in the internet about the name of Bangla Folk/Rock band Chirkutt. The name appears to be written with one or two "ts" probably as a result of the english translations of - চিরকুট !

Chirkutt ( চিরকুট ) - Official Bio Herewith the official press release bio of the Bangla Folk/Rock band CHIRKUTT. All rights reserved, Songwrights Publishers. Biography Formed in 2002 during Sumi’s university years, Chirkutt carved out a solid reputation in the music scene of Bangladesh with their energetic live performances and powerful lyrics penned by Sumi herself. Despite their exotic sound, they are immensely popular among mainstream audiences. Chirkutt is one of the only female-fronted fusion-driven rock bands of Bangladesh, and the band enjoys an active international presence as well. Chirkutt has released three studio albums to date, and toured over a dozen countries. Chirkutt’s international journey began when they were invited to attend the prestigious India Music Week festival in 2012, followed by the Jaffna Music Festival in Sri Lanka.
